The Lighthouse

The Lighthouse was written by Joe Butler, used by permission. As editor in chief, Joe spearheaded the creation of the first in a series of ebooks, TL;DR: A Redditwriters Mixtape Volume 1, a diverse collection of stories from a writer’s community that coalesced around Reddit discussions. From its origins as a venue for new writers, the community has planted deeper roots as TL;DR Press and has several published ebooks on Amazon, including Women’s Anthology: Carrying Fire; Shades of Pride: LGBTQAI2+ Anthology; and Nope: Horror Quarterly. Revenues from TL;DR titles—both Kindle format and print-on-demand—are donated to charities, including Doctors with Borders and the Pilcrow Foundation.

Joe’s fascination with ghosts and tales of the macabre is reflected by the pieces on his personal site, where he confesses that he is addicted to hiding ghost stories in hotels.

For more about the evolution that led to TL;DR Press, read this blog article, which includes an interview with David G. Clark, co-founder of the press.
